A unified brand for a diverse community
DePaul University underwent a brand design refresh aimed at unifying its visual identity across all departments and creating a cohesive system that works for different people in different ways. With a student body representing a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, the updated brand embraces inclusivity through bold, modern design elements and a flexible system that allows each college, program, and initiative to maintain individuality while remaining visually connected to the larger university.
Given DePaul’s unique urban footprint—split between the historic, residential Lincoln Park campus and the professional, fast-paced Loop campus—the refresh also needed to reflect the dynamic nature of both locations. The result is a cohesive brand system that bridges tradition and innovation, creating a consistent presence in both academic and public-facing spaces while staying true to the university’s mission and spirit.
